Game crashing on 64 bit
So when I start ETS2 on any 64-bit version it crashes after about 20 seconds and I can't find any way to fix this. I tried seeing if it's related to an action I take in-game, but it crashes randomly without any link to any button pressed in-game. Here's my game.log file: https://pastebin.com/EGdhJFzk. Please help if possible.

A few things you can do to fix this main one is update or make sure your video card driver is newest driver as well as make sure all this is fully up to date

Change the following lines in the config (or config.cfg) file:

uset cf_asus_aura "1"
uset cf_razer_chroma "1"

Change the "1" to "0" and save it.

You can find the config (or config.cfg) file in your documents in the ETS2 folder.

Verify Integrity of Game Files

Try starting a new, unmodded, vanilla profile (you can have as many as you want) at the opening screen to test the game, after verifying the files.
The fault seems to be in your Steam profile, both the current and back-up files are throwing errors.

Curiously, your game appears to be 32bit?
00:00:00.000 : [sys] running on x86 / Windows 10 x64 (version 10.0.19044) 00:00:00.000 : [sys] Command line: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x86\eurotrucks2.exe

This is what my log reports:
00:00:00.000 : [sys] running on x86_64 / Windows 10 x64 (version 10.0.19044) 00:00:00.000 : [sys] Command line: G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\win_x64\eurotrucks2.exe

You are starting the game in 32bit.
00:00:00.000 : [mem] virtual total: 4095M
This is the clear indication of that.

It also seems like your current profile is corrupted so you should try and load an earlier save.

well, i'm quite confused then, as when I crash, I am starting the 64-bit version, to be more exact, the DirectX11 64-bit one. Should I reinstall steam overall? I don't seem to quite get this.

Something's wonky there.
From the log you posted, you are selecting the 32bit version (win_x86) of the game.

Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Euro Truck Simulator 2\bin\
and check to see if "win_x64" folder exists. It should. Dbl-click the "eurotrucks2.exe" file in that win_x64 folder.
It will automatically start Steam if it's not already running.
See if that helps.

In other news..
Technically, 64bit os will happily run 32bit apps. There are workshop mods in your game. Check that none of those are destroying important files.

My game always crashed when i started it, usually around the time the screen pops up where you choose "continue" (or new game if you've not got far enough thanks to the crashes). The cause of it turned out to be Discord's "game overlay". I un-checked the "enable in-game overlay" and not 1 crash since.
