99,99% map discovery
I have managed 99,99% map discovery (no dlc) and have covered every single corner, except one little bit. There is a tiny piece of road way east of Graz, but I have no idea how to reach it. It's not connected to any other road, and searching for hidden roads yields nothing about this segment.

How the Fluff do I get there?

Update 6th July:
I have activated the French DLC in hopes that the precentage will shift in my favour once that area is fully discovered.

Update 17th July:
Every bit on the French dlc has been covered and map discovery still says 99,99%.

Do you have the DEV CAM?
You can move yourself over to the road and get it that way.

Is that a mod?

Is not a mod, you need to enable it through config file, or wait for devs to hide those pieces from appearing in base game as they don't belong there. By the way, those pieces may be not the only ones left, keep looking around and you may hit 100% anyway.

With no map DLC active to be at 99.99% there must still be ten or so map items that count towards discovery that you've not found yet as it should be possible to get back to 100% (which isn't actually all map items discovered, just more than 99.995% of them).

If you would be willing to share a saved game then I have a program that will identify which map items you are missing from the list of discovered items in the saved game data.

0,01% is an extremely small piece. A rest stop in Germany gave me 0,03%.
I have checked the map more than 5 times in the past few days and there is NOTHING left except that one outside Graz. I've been extremely meticulous when exploring - breaking every single traffic rule there is to be as efficient as possible.

Well it has been a long time since I played with just the base map, so it may be smaller overall than I'd thought (although they've been busy making it bigger in terms of the number of prefab and road items, so...) but when I got to 100% completion on v1.23 with the base map only I was still missing either five or six map items so I'm prepared to stand by my 'ten or so' comment.

Having looked at the data from a friend of mine who has achieved 100% with v1.44 without either Black Sea or Iberia (I've not quite finished getting back to 100% myself, still have a couple of junctions in Austria and the two new bits in Spain) I am fairly convinced that that item east of Graz, which is part of the Black Sea DLC, doesn't count anyway because it is a map area not a road or prefab (see this comment from Max on the official forums for confirmation that map areas don't count: https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=1654446#p1654446).

Just to clarify, that screenshot was taken with Discovery Map installed and it is the ONLY item left showing in red.
I sent the developers all my data and screenshot, so maybe they can have a look and try to figure out what the issue is.

I don't own the Black Sea dlc.

I can see that you don't own the Black Sea DLC but that map item ought to be DLC guarded and isn't, which is why it shows up when you use that mod. However, it isn't what is stopping you getting to 100%

Why don't you uninstall such mod and look at the map with your own eyes? Do you know that now you can hide everything that is on it leaving just yellow and grey only? It is much easier than as I did 3 or 4 years ago. Just check one country at time starting from smaller ones and you won't lose yourself around : )

it is more likely a missed off-ramp.
Wournos Jul 4, 2022 @ 8:02am
I have had a look several times with and without the mod. Without icons. Nothing is grey except that thing outside Graz.
I started this "career" just to focus on 100% discovery. I went to the UK first and covered everything right away mainly because I don't enjoy driving in the UK. After that I've been through every single city on the mainland, took care of the long-distance roads with cargo and "finished" off by taking care of smaller regions, breaking every single rule to get it done.

I checked on my map using an undiscovered roads mod, and I don't believe that is a genuine piece of road, it does not appear on my map at all. It is possible that the mod is giving a false positive, there are definitely some isolated and weird tiny bits to find, including some garage roofs, but they always show up.
I have achieved 100% a number of times, and got the actual achievement awarded, but I had to restart due to map DLC sending my total back. I don't think the 100% is absolutely necessary to get the original achievement, or if you can see the full 100% total in the game, it gives the achievement with a tiny fraction of a percent still left to find.
Try verifying your files, in case there is an error, or using a different mod to reveal undiscovered roads, I have used 4 from the Workshop, they all work differently, and give different results.

I have activated the french DLC in hopes that the precentage will shift in my favour once that area is fully discovered. If not, I will try other map mods to see what is going on. The files have been verified and are correct.

Maybe was better to wait until 1.45 public release, or give it a try in beta after a sound back up of course, or adding Going East that is where those leftovers are. Good luck with France anyway, there are few hidden roads either but those won't count for the discovery : )
What are Y'all talking bout? It's a piece of road that leads to Hungary...
