May be what you want, it may be not.
If so, just make a mod of the changes you want to have, install the mod in SP, save your game, then remove the mod. Next time you load, the game will complain that the mod is missing, but you can continue without worry because the mod wasn't adding anything new to the game so when it parses your truck configuration there won't be any issue rendering because all the parts are vanilla parts.
This is how people get those crazy configurations in TMP; they go nuts with save editing. ;)
