2 questions about the Rain Sensor
Hi everyone,

I had two little questions about the rain sensor in ets2:

1) is it normal that the speed of the wipers is slow when i drive slow and superfast when i drive ~90 km/h (at full rain level of course)?

2) is there a setting in the config.ini or console command to change the sensitivity of the rain sensor? Because on my real life car which has an rain sensor i can set an sensitivity.

I dont know if the rain sensor is still an beta, but i assume that when its reachable in the official settings of the game its an full and working feature, otherwise you wouldn't put it in there (like currently the acc).

But I didn't find or know a setting to change that, so maybe someone in the forum knows it.

Thank you all very much for your respones and help.

Drive safely and keep on truckin'

1) Yes, when the rain is angled so that it hits your windshield more. If you are driving (literally) into the oncoming rain then you end up with a lot of rain hitting the windshield in a short time.

2) I don't see any config setting that does anything with the rain sensor (other than activate or deactivate). And I don't think there is a console command to adjust it.

Ah, very interesting. I set the rain sensor to On. but he doesn't react when it starts to rain. I always have to turn on the windshield wipers using the control pad. also how fast he should wipe. did I miss something here?

In order for the rain sensor to work you need to have your wipers set to the first position, so not "off" but in what would otherwise be the slowest speed.

Just like with the real world, the wiper has to be actually engaged for the rain sensor to work.
As Wolfgang said, the lowest setting is enough.

thank you guys for your respones! Rain sensors in real life aren't perfect either. sometimes the wipers go crazily fast with litte rain and sometimes don't react to an rainforest-like rain.

Maybe SCS will add an slider in the options where you can adjust the sensitivity in the future. Would be cool!
