cargo market vs freight market

whats yalls opinions on the two that have tried them? are cargo market longer, more money, more exp, any benefits? or is it just a use your own trailer thing purely aesthetical/immersion?

You get slightly more money for the load using your own trailer. I like it just so I can have a trailer match my truck.

It would be nice to have some cargo with some weight to it. I am hoping that will come soon.

You get a slightly better reward per kilometer, but you are limited to jobs that fit your trailer.

so sounds like theres a few drawbacks, limited cargo capacity and repairs to trailer for a slightly better reward but does not include heavy cargo so i would probably end up making less...

how much is slightly btw, like 1 or 2 euro a km or 5-10 euro a km? Is it even feasible to pay off a trailer off the bonus you would receive alone after a 5-10 long hauls?

If your primary focus is making money then owning your own trailer probably won't make enough of a difference.

Personally I enjoy having my own trailer just because it's my own, so that I can modify it/paint it etc. It increases the immersion (for me at least), as well.

@ VolvoBattousai Agree with that assessment - When I was building my company, adding garages, trucks, drivers, I didn't even think about using my Trailers DLC (they're a luxury and the break-even point moneywise is way down the road). I considered the Krone Trailers something to play with once I'd made my fortune & had most of the Achievements in the bag. Well, I'm there now, just waiting for the last Achievement - "Aspects of Professionalism", and hauling my own Trailer in custom paint to match my Rig, and enjoying them - finally.

One last point, @ VolvoBattousai - don't know if ur an Achievement hunter of not, but keep an eye out for quick jobs on those special deliveries and their required destinations (like fuel, and airport deliveries in France, yachts in Scandinavia, etc). I say this becaue some of them spawn VERY rarely, and they can be a pain if you wait until the end - speaking from experience here - Cheers

question, how do you unlock the cargo market? i can only chose freight even tho i own a truck and all trailers

I nearly never use the cargo market, the trailers I like the most are not available yet.

You need to be pulling your own trailer for Cargo Market to be available.

and how do i do that? i own all trailers and multiple trucks but in the job market i cant chose cargo market, i cant click on it

You can't click on it unless you have one of your owned trailers attached. Unfortunately, you can't preview that market to see all of the possible loads to decide which trailer you want to use.

Unless you are sat in a garage with all of the owned trailers assigned, in which case there is nothing to stop you switching trailers via the Trailer Manager, checking the Cargo market(s) then rinsing and repeating for all of the trailers you own.

If you press camera key "2" for exterior view, and then look at your truck and don't see a trailer attached to it, then that is the reason.
