Why is there an invite option in ETS2

Why is there an invite option in ETS2,when you invite a friend to a lobby is doesent work(can't get information about the lobby).

So stupid.

I did you cannot invite a friend if you don't create a convoy first. I also downloaded truckersMP if that makes any difference.

You need to be in the same region as your friend.

We are neighbours 100 meters away,also dowload reagion in steam is the same we also changed download regions multiple times.

I have no mods,but my friend said he disabled his mods,does he actually have to remove them from the game files.?

No. They only need to be disabled. Or active for all participants.

Thats crazy... How the hell don't they have this figured out i've seen so many discussions about this atleast 7 months old and nobody knows a solution to this problem..how the hell has there been no action taken on this matter.?

It is rather simple.

To join a Convoy lobby, all users must have the same mods active/inactive as the host of the lobby.
They also must have the same game version. So, if the host uses a Beta branch, all others must use the matching branch as well.

Works fine for me and hundreds and even thousands of others.

By "versions" do you mean as in dirextx11 or as in 1.41 or 1.42 versions etc...
Im gonna take a look and make sure we have the same version.

As in 1.43, 1.44 and of course patch versions.
The renderer does not matter.

You can see the version currently in use in the starting screen in the bottom right corner.

I figured as in that. So my version was under under "none" while my friends was under "public beta 1.44" or something like that. I now changed it to the same version and im downloading something,fingers crossed it works haha :D
