Repositioning the GPS in Euro Trucks 2
I have been all over the internet in search of a solution to repositioning the GPS in Euro Trucks 2, as I am running triple screens, and having it in the lower right corner of my left screen which makes it very awkward to drive my truck and see where I am going.
On my continued investigations I am constantly referred back to Stream, and on reading the referred posts, I find nothing or a convoluted explanation that tells me nothing, I go to SCS Software that makers of Euro Trucks 2, and find nothing.
I’ve watched Squirrel on YouTube and still nothing, and of cause Mark Armstrong, and his endless road trips, who is running triple screens, and has his GPS on his centre screen, but does he explain how?, don’t be silly, it’s a secret.
In Euro Trucks 2 you can upgrade your truck in endless ways, and now with the upgrade you can buy your own trailer, so why isn’t there a simple way of repositioning your GPS onto my center screen, and why can’t anyone on Steam or SCS Software able to explain it in a simple way, 1, 2, 3, etc?????, as this is what this forum is supposed to be for

I have been to both of the sites you mentioned and they tell you nothing, their description my be great for one screen but not for three, I am not a computer nerd and I am certainly not going into the program and try to alter it.
There must be simple solution, an A, B, C and D description of how the GPS is repositioned onto the centre of three screens

Try mod? https://ets2.lt/en/?s=gps look for:
GPS Router Advisor v 1.0 - there is navi on center upper screen and infos on bottom.
and remember to check this for multimonitor work correctly:

Try this one from the Steam Workshop, it places your gps in the middle of the center screen. I use it also and its very handy, keep in mind that it doesnt work in the mp mod.

OK it works for you, now explain it to me in the simplest terms step by step, how you repositioned your Rout adviser onto your middle screen of your triple screen set up

Still lost, maybe you can give me a step by step setup instructions of repositioning the Rout Adviser onto the centre screen of a tripe screen setup

1.Subscribe MOD for repositioning GPS , mentionen above.
2. install MOD in ETS 2 into Mod menu ( menu near where You can choose profile) and make this mod active.
3. run game and see - work on 3 monitors or not.

3 easy step to check.

If You need a tip how to make mod for ETS2 - i dont know about create mod. You cannot do this using standard setting menu in game. You NEED a mod (modification).

Did you manage to get it to work atlas31?

1. Go to your ETS2 folder in "My document" on your PC.
2. In that folder open up the file "config.cfg" with notepad or a similar app.
3. And in there look and find a line that starts with "uset r_multimon_mode".
4. At the end of that line you will find a number and in your case it's most likely "0".
5. Go and have a look here https://eurotrucksimulator2.com/multimon_config.php#types and see what will be the best option for your setup, then enter that number where it says "0" and then exit and save.

I suggest you test with the number "1" first to see if that is right for you, for with the other options there's some more settings you might need to change.

Then turn off the HUD interface and add one of the GPS devices to the interior of your truck in the windshield corner mount point. You end up with this:

If you're then worried about not having speedo/tacho visible, use an android phone or tablet with any of the telemetry servers to turn your phone/tablet into a dashboard display.

I went out and bought Sumsung galaxy tablet and got the sim dashboard app and it works well, after same problems with setting it up. But as far as repositioning the GPS , I gave up it was just too complicated, for my knowledge of computers, and went back to my one 40" screen instead of the three.

I use 3 screens and have the floating gps turned off. Why not just use one of the in dash gps systems, or one mounted to your windshield?

I am in two minds, I disconnected my triple 27" screens and went back one 40" screen, but after reading your step by step solution I may try it, I like Euro Trucks 2 but it is not worth it having to look at the lower left screen to see where you are going, it is just stupid for SCS Software ignoring this problem for so long when it has every other easy adjustment for it trucks in this game
