You're using the pedal brake too much or are repeatedly turning on/off the parking brake.
Ohh, and ask away if you need more info. My friends gets tired of my bla bla bla truck lessons, theory and whatnot. I can't help it as a real life truck driver.
Yes, i use pedal brake a lot when i do parking. Is there other options? I only play with cabin view without any synthetic mirrors and such. Only using keys 2 and 3 when i really stuck in parking/unparking (recently had a situation when unparking took me like 10-15 minutes because my trailer was really "hidden" between neighbouring trailer and ares borders).
Also what do you mean "rev your engine"? Sorry, not a driver in real life and having no experience with this.
About revs, it means to set your gear to neutral and accelerate. Depending on truck and its configuration will take more or less time to completely fill its air tank(s). But if you are using "Simple automatic" transmission type (same place as written above) you don't have the neutral gear available and this will leave you only one option: stop completely your truck and leave engine on for a lots of in-game time without to touch anything. If you change to "Real automatic" you can use the neutral gear, strongly suggested.
Of course to improve your driving and especially parking skill will help to avoid consuming too much air pressure, plus turning on "Automatic retarder" and "Automatic engine brake" will spare you some air pressure them too (assuming your truck is equipped properly for both to be used), but these are mainly for while you are travelling on the road at consistent speed rather than when manouvering in tight spaces.
@akanashin - About getting warnings after one sleeps, it happens when the truck is damaged. Altought I believe that wear damage won't matter (I never left it to grow too much), any impact damage will. Together with engine failure (randomly turns itself off) this is the only other one malfuction I ever experienced. Anyway, while engine failure will start to happens past 10% damage, air leak happens much before if not immediately after any impact. Difficult to be sure unless a direct experiment: go repair, crash the truck softly against the workshop wall, sleep there and see : D
Thanks for all the answers!
Yes, i have option "Air brakes simulation" on. Wanted to set as much realism as i can. Increased traffic events level and rain levels, decreased stability level for trailer, etc.... Also manual gear box (not sure though if this is real or not, have read that lately trucks are switching to automatic boxes).
Ok, i got the idea. Learning to dock using only real mirrors and getting better lately so i don't have this problem.
Thanks!
