PS: despite their names, 530 > 4000

So i learnt that Intel is weird with naming, and he got his answer on whether his card is supported. Win win I say :D

Not just Intel. A low end graphics card of a later series can be worse than a high end card of an earlier one.

I've heard of people buying a new GPU (with a higher number) that was a step down from what they already had.

OMG, you have no idea. It's not as bad as AMD or nVidia but still fairly misleading.

example : the Intel HD 5000 and 6000 are less powerfull than the Intel HD 500 and 600.

nVidia 710, 730, 820, AMD R3, R4 < Intel HD 530

The 530 are without a doubt entry-level, they are not power-gaming GPU but they are still that good and ETS2 would be playable with some concessions.

Nvidia have the smartest number naming system around, and it's pretty easy to learn.
A 1050 it's a bit worse than a 970.
The first digit it's the series, 8xx, 9xx, 10xx.
The second digit it's the class, the bigger the better, x6x, x7x, x8x...
Knowing that you should know how a card would work and it's level.

Tom's Hardware produce an excellent quick reference gpu hierarchy chart:

That does say nothing about its gaming abilities.
