Yes, usually the line without the Euro Green Icon(yellow stripes line I think was in Italy). Same for France and Turkey. Anyway, speed must be reduced and wait the barrier coming up.

Some have a gate for the use of an 'autopass' where you can just drive through with out stopping to pay and have the gates rise

Going East ones still are all stop-to-pay and you have to be close to the barrier in order for it to opens.

Scandinavia has pass through lanes that works even at max speed, beware that some have speed cameras too.

France and Italy have pass through lanes but speed limit is 30 Km/h, speed limit is visible above tollgates in France OR on on-board GPS/Route Advisor once you step on it. Although if well timed with a preceding AI vehicle you can even pass through at more than 50 Km/h, it is VERY dangerous (and if a police car spots you, you are fined).

Baltic has few and are like France ones, low speed, limit shown; but most you meet there are Border Crossings with Russia, where must stop for a while and twice each time.

Base game has few relatively to France and Italy parts, they works as those in the respective DLC. For other DLC I don't know ; )

Best tolls are in Spain, overhead gantries, no need to slow just keep going.

The overhead gantries are in Portugal, not in Spain, and they are not ubiquitous even there. Fortunately the other Portuguese tolls have a 'Via Verde' so you can (with one or two exceptions) just stick to the left hand lane. The Spanish tolls are something of a nightmare IMO.

Most of the Spanish tolls have height restrictions unsuitable for trucks, so working left to right isn't going to be the quickest way to spot the only gate that trucks can pass through without stopping.

And some of us, wanting to keep it very realistic, going through a toll gate with no cash, there's this.
if you look in irl, you see all the trucks driving with a box in front of the windows. pay tolls for the roads and also toll gates.
And in Poland are already automatic nowadays. unfortunately not in game yet.
Here's a Mod, with those boxes in front of the window, still works with the latest version.
