That's what I do, one with Promods, one without mods.
One big advantage with separate profiles is that you can continue playing during "update season". When SCS updates the base game it takes a while for Promods to update, test and release their maps to the new base game version. With two profiles you can updatee the game immediately and enjoy new features with the non-PM profile, until PM releases their new stuff.
A standard profile which only has couple of mods for my quality of life. They are my own mods and I keep the up to date if needed. I use this profile for WoT jobs/events and for Steam Achievements.
A profile for ProMods, same mods as above plus ProMods and any associated file/mods.
I also have a totally vanilla profile, this is run from a shortcut on my desktop and uses a separate homedir to keep it "clean". This is just for testing and just incase.
I also create a separate profile with it's own homedir for any beta testing that I want to get involved in.
So basically you can have a many profiles as you like with different mods in any of them.
