Facepalm....wheel as mouse..
New wheel and I "accidentally" set it as mouse controller on menus.

So, ya...game unplayable on startup basically. :steamfacepalm:

How do you fix this? Other than unplugging the wheel.

Close the game - Unplug the wheel - plug the wheel in again - start the game, dont choose the wheel as mouse...

You can turn that (mouse control) off in Options --> Controls and all the way at the bottom, in the Alternate Mouse Cursor Controller section, hit the RESET button for controller selection.

Thanks a lot. I actually had a quick look through options but didn't see it. Also tried unplugging the wheel but don't think that worked.
This T_GTII has 25 buttons would have been a crying shame to not get to try it on ETS. lol.

follow the steps from my last post https://steamcommunity.com/app/227300/discussions/0/3192486000805990219/
if you dont have steamcloud on go to documents and delete the ones listed on my last post.
hope that works. make sure you have the wheel dissconected to try to see if you can manuver things from inside the game. ;)

There's nothing that needs deleting or disconnecting.

Just go to your controller setting in game when you're playing press "esc", so not the one that you get with start up.

In "Options" -> "Controls" scroll down and look for "alternate mouse cursor controller"
-> click on "reset" -> select ignore for every device that is suggested.

I said thanks...by which I meant it worked. Sorry for the confusion.

No worries, did wonder if you had it solved or not and replied just in case because some people had replied to delete and/or unplug things. and those two options should be last resort options, specially deleting things :-)
