ps5 controller l1 r1 issues

Hello,

I just configured my Playstation 5 controller through the Controller Configuration system through Steam. Everything works perfectly except for my L1 and R1 buttons. I binded them to activate the corresponding indicator but when I'm in game it just shifts up and down. My shift up and down buttons are X and O.

how do i fix?
