Make sure that you don't have the function bound to the movement of the wheel.

Checking the keybinds in the game.

I hadn't experienced this particular issue in ETS2, but when playing Trucks & Trailers, or Scania Truck Driving Simulator, Steam's own gamepad configuration seemed to take precedence over what I had set in the game itself. So the tiniest movement of joysticks or whatever would randomly press other functions as I played. Disabling Steam's controller settings resolved that issue for me in those particular games. Perhaps that is happening here?

Garfield, fix each separately
Reset to default first

I have left right indicators fixed to the left and right flippers

Airhorn and headlights to A and B buttons respectively

Garfield try that, if you havent bound the wheel itself to anything other than steer left right then then there is no reason it should happen unless either A: your wheel is malfunctiong (unlikely) or B: something else is also interfering like steam controller support.

You could also try deleting the controls.sii file in your ets2 save profile in my docs-euro truck simulator 2 - profiles folder.

Are you using Ghub or Lgs by the way? Ghub causes problems for a lot of people, i use a G29 with LGS and everything works fine

i uploaded my controler file onto google drive, ready for you to download and try out. I use an xbox pc controller and it took a while but got it nice going. Natural feel when you hit the gas or brakes, blinkers on the rb lb and so on.

Thats not gonna work for him as he isnt using an xbox controller and the game will be looking for one that wont be attached. The game saves the bindings per unique controller.

For instance my g29 is registered in controls.sii as "device joy `di8.'{84EC0AE0-480C-11E9-8001-444553540000}|{C24F046D-0000-0000-0000-504944564944}'`"

It may work for another xbox controller user but certainly not for a wheel user.

Was not aware this involved a wheel. Then indeed my file wont do much but cause more problems for the OP... Sad, took me a half hour to figure out where and how i could share it :P

its in the original post hes using a g920 (logitech) but theres never any harm in being helpful and you now know where to find the file should anybody with a similar controller to you ever have an issue :)

I had this problem with windshield wipers. It wen't away when I changed keys that turns it on from keyboard. Still don't know why it happened. I was really annoying to live with random ghost wipers.
