Cars keep driving into me even on simple roundabouts
I stopped playing because I had an AI car ram me while I was inside every other roundabout when Iberia came out.

Came back to the game months later, and AI drivers still completely refuse to see my truck. Played for 5 minutes and a car rammed me and caused me a 400 EUR fine, just because the AI disregarded the rules and drove into the roundabout, as if the 20-meter truck just wasn't there.

Didn't even hit my cabin, I was already fully in his way and the car his the middle of my trailer.

How freaking hard can it be to fix this, devs? Why the hell should I spend more money on your DLCs, just to keep playing the same buggy game, getting hit by AI every 10 minutes and destroying any immersion in the process?

The AI has a mind of their own and will do anything to get in your way.
Pay attention to the traffic, maybe change your driving habits and

DEAL WITH IT!

Remember that in different countries the circle/roundabout rules differ including how they control double or more lanes exit & entry I notice this is reflected to a certain extent by the ai actions.

Thats correct that the AI have there mind on there own, just like peeps in real life there is some cracy drivers everywhere. As i see it the AI act pretty must to what you can see in real life. And if you think ahead of it all you can easy drive around without any damage on your trucks and trailer.

1. I can't pay attention to a car entering the roundabout when my cabin is already well past the intersection and they ram into the middle of the trailer.

2. Telling people to "deal with it" when it comes to bugs in a commercial product that costs a pretty penny as a full package (and we all know 90% of people who play the game for more than a few hours do get all the DLC map expansions) is a horrible thing to do.

3. The AI implementation has NOTHING to do with specific laws in Country X. The AI is barely functional in roundabouts, it's hilarious to imagine they implemented country-specific regulations.

If do you have mods then try to read this other discussion.

I've been seeing complaints about AI vehicles many many times, yes it's pretty bad and sometimes they do weird stuff (I was driving on my own lane once and a car just decided to merge into and just crashed into me)

But honestly if anything just turn off fines, I've played this game way too much that I don't care anymore, I enjoy it even with the weird AI, just waiting until it finally gets completely fixed (SCS are actually trying keep in mind, they solved other issues)

Then I doubt your truck is fully in the lane nearest to the intersections. Only travel in the outside lane furthest from the centre of the roundabout.
Also you need to have you indicator on for left (assuming your are driving in Europe and not the UK).
Only indicate right just before the turning you want to take.

I'm not getting the crazy behavior in regular conditions (i.e. cars merging into my lane on highways while I'm there or hitting me from behind at parking lights), so I really don't think my one sound mod and one "dots instead of X signs on closed roads" mod interfere with the AI.

I just wish it didn't happen on damn nearly every roundabout I pass.

At the end of the day, I might just turn off fines and tickets and penalties entirely, stop pretending this is even trying to be a simulation and just drive.

No not hilarious, fact. Sorry I tried to help, should have known better. Tired of rude replies when one tries to be civil.

In France you have to signal left until you get to your exit where you signal right.

Until on a vanilla profile with default settings everything is going smooth, there is nothing to fix.

as has been mentioned so many times before in these forums its down to learning to "drive" within the confines of the games ai. no the ai isn't perfect and yes it needs attention long overdue. But, i don't remember the time i last got rammed by an ai with the exception of the occasional border crossing. take your time entering the roundabout and look for a clear space to progress through and even if traffic is heavy the ai in my game nearly always yield.

I run mods too so i have quite a high traffic density but this still isn't an issue unless i fail to look around me and/or am going way to fast to begin with.

Yes Wolfgang, here in SA the rule (mostly ignored) is the same, but for lh driving. I have noticed a few European countries where the vehicles in a circle give way to those entering & so far most of the ai's seem programmed to follow this rule. However, if you enter a circle where right of way is for those in the circle then they will hit you in the side. Perhaps a just punishment with a fine? Irl if you push in front of a car in a circle it can cost them their lives.

Not having this on my end when following the rules (staying in your lane, indicating left in the roundabouts in France).

Wolfgang, That is what I was getting at, the traffic in game will follow their line so if you take a chance or stray out of lane they will hit you as described.
