I don't think there are any that are compatible with the current game version and don't require all available map DLCs.

I guess they pretty much all will need all of the DLC's to work, I am sure SCS will have hard coded it into the code being used
here is where I get mine

no its fully up to the mad creator how do save the map if you normaly make a addon or extantion to the map you keep the name europe and this will not require you to have a DLC this also means you build on to the default map what may be even a bettter way of building map instead of how people do it now most of the time except promods thats a differant story

It isn't anything SCS is doing that causes map mods to require DLC content; it's the other way around. When a map mod is made, if the author uses assets provided in a particular DLC then that DLC is required in order to use that map mod. It's that simple. Maps from Promods use assets from ALL the map DLCs, so you need to have them all in order to use their mod.

I didn't quote you as I wasn't replying directly to you. ;)

I think modders make their mods deliberately require dlc's to support SCS's work, and I think SCS deliberately allows map modding because of this.

Also most of the assets you see in mods are copied assets from scs maps/dlcs, so the more dlc's used, the more tools/assets modders have to build their mods from.

I don't think they do it "deliberately". If you want the map mods to not require any DLC then they'll only use assets from the base game and that'll not be decent will it, so instead they use assets from map DLCs and since every DLC uses new assets map modders are their to benefit from them but in order for it to work for everyone you'll need that DLC, else the asset won't show and it'll just be bugged.

It's obvious the person was not replying to you but to the others who contributed to the topic, that's what's called a conversation. You already got the answer. There is no map mod that requires no DLC , unless it's some map that does not actually add to the game (like challenge maps, or something similair). Now let the conversation continue please.

This question is asked for both ATS and ETS 2
The simple answer is that there appears to be none that anyone can name.

FreakySheep, sorry I put a link to my source for map mods, odviously there are plenty others

Looking through them then there may well be one or two that fit your original question and don't need all the DLC'S. But I have all the DLC'S so I can't tell

Someone on another thread was asking about the Mario mod map. I am not all that familiar with this map but the 1.43 version apparently only requires four listed map DLC:

"Requires: DLC Going East, Scandinavia, Vive La France and Italy;

I wouldn´t recommend Mario Map. It is a map, which consists out of stolen map mods, like Promods, TSM-Map, Eastern Express and a lot more.

To answer the question about map mods, which do not require all Map-DLCs, those are the ones I know:
TRextended: https://trextendedmap.com/indir/
requires all Map-DLCs, except of Iberia

EuRoadNet: https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=28♥♥♥♥
all except Iberia

Paris Rebuild: https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=244790
only requires France DLC

Santiago de Compostela: https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=307804
only requires Iberia
