best truck to start
Hello im new to the game and just wanna ask you what i should buy to the start ? I hope the most cheapest trucks are not best but for the start i think with my own truck i will get more money and get quickly on more expensive trucks :) Thanks

Iveco are the cheapest, a base model one with everything stripped off it, cheapest paint job and all accesories removed down to basics is about $92,000, just take out a 100K loan and you can buy it and pay it off as you do jobs

you will have to do a few quick jobs before loans are unlocked though

just a warning though iveco have the worst sounding engines too, they are like a Vacuum Cleaner type noise

You get what you pay for :lunar2019smilingpig:
Do a bunch of quick jobs and see if you'd not rather save up a bit and not get the cheapest... they can be less fun to drive, or I suppose most fun, depending on how you like to play.
Quick jobs gain you some cash and expose you to some of the differences between trucks, you can choose the job based on what truck is to be used and get a feel for what is available.
Have fun, above all :cozybethesda:
Edit:
Worth adding, many make their "best truck" decisions based on mirrors or dash display, as performance is generally not so different between trucks of similar engine torque and gearbox quality.

I agree with Sandhill, and this is the way I did it when I started playing ATS at the beginning of this year after five years with ETS2. Take a whole bunch of quick jobs and keep track of which trucks you've been driving and which ones feel nicest - this is much more about the view from the cockpit than it is about engines et al, because those can be upgraded over time but the fundamental layout doesn't change. I discovered that I disliked the dashboards on some trucks and that one in particular had a really awkward driver's side mirror position and thus was able to eliminate those from my list.

Also, don't obsess over owning your own truck. It does not fundamentally alter the way the game plays whilst driving so there is no harm in doing dozens of quick jobs and building up a tidy sum in the bank before committing to becoming an owner operator.

The Volvo FH16 Classic used to be the best starter truck as you got 550hp for a little over 100k. I think the devs have nerfed the HP down a bit (around 420hp?) but it's still a great value starter truck.

If horsepower were the correct basis for choosing a truck that might be good advice :lunar2019smilingpig:
