Are you overclocking your GPU or is it overclocked by the manufacturer? If so, reduce the clock speed of your GPU to the value(s) in the link as the game doesn’t like it when you overclock your GPU.

Thanks Wolfgang, that takes me back to your first solution for me and the reason I use the
Open GL version instead after throttling back about 10% using Afterburner
GeForce RTX Founders Edition graphics cards feature an out-of-the-box 90MHz factory overclock.

You can use an application like MSI Afterburner to create a preset fan curve and / or an underclock.

If you start MSI Afterburner before playing ETS 2 and ATS, then it will run your card without this factory overclock and the game should run fine. Just reduce the core clock slider and save as a preset.

There are a number of other titles that have this same issue with a relatively small number of Nvidia users cards
