In windows, hit start menu, write joy.cpl and hit enter. Now calibrate it and see what that has for effect.
An other option is adjusting it ingame.
for info I also tried to check if it was both detected & pass-thru from hardware (linux /dev) to software (proton version of wine (it is the windows-emulator (and official steam version)))
I think also all variables from the main config file : config.cfg are just OK
And then a link will popup to a steam guide for steeringwheels with linux:

- used a T150 thrustmaster on my pc from a friend: OK
- using the logitech on another PC similar issue
- using the logitech on a console wheel is ok but not pedals in that case...
- then tried T150 thrustmaster with logitech side panel & thrustmaster pedals ) OK
- also tried T150 with the pedals of the logitech one (need rj12 rJ11 connection adapter) works also
what distro and kernel are you using to test it?
did you try either oversteer or pylinuxwheel as suggested in the guide? did either recognize the wheel or let you change the deadzone?
decuments-ets folder - find your save folder
open control.sii with notepad
find this : c_steer_dz 0.000000 (+more dead zone) (-kill dead zone)
fix it
