Report a translation problem
I've been reading a few posts about this the past few days and that seemed to be the solution, i haven't tried it, but i have the same problem on my vanilla daf (straight from dealer) when attaching the plane SCS curtainsider, other trailers seem to be fine for me so far.
I'm playing in 1.40 pb though.
If you have the the dev console enabled you may want to press 0 and then F9 when your truck is standing in front of the trailer, or other safe place, the trailer will then automagically connect.
Anyhoo, for the def console to work you need to open config.cfg from the main ets2 folder in your documents with wordpad:
C:\Users\yournamehere\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2
Look for "uset g_developer "0"" and "uset g_console "0""
Change both 0's to 1 and save the file.
Now when you'r in game and press 0 you're selecting the dev cam, when you don't do anything else and press F9 your trailer connects to the truck.
For more info on the dev cam there are Youtube videos about it, for example this one:

I will click T which is bound to connect but on my satnav its not giving me the option TOO connect, so I will be in a connectable spot for my truck, clicking T and it just won't even give the option to connect
