Lighting issues even with clean profile and no mods.....
Ok.....so the game looks great in the day time but night time driving is a mess, the only light source that has any effect on the world are my head lights, street lights are there but provide no lighting to the road, reverse lighting does not exist and indicators and and side lighting has no effect on even nearby objects.

Any one got the same issues.

im finding headlights on my truck too dim but tail lights and indicators r way too bright. night time is more realistic as its as dark as it should be. but headlights r too dim. day time is way to bright. my headlights only show the right side of the road and cant see anything in front of me or to the left unless i put on high beam and axuillary lights. then i get the same lights as low beam on 1.39.

I think it's the reverse. night time lighting is realistic. it's supposed to be pitch black and headlights don't do a lot. high beam could be slightly brighter, but the effect of not being able to see past high beam is good.

In the daytime, the interior lighting is a bit dark. I can barely see the needle on the speedometer. During the day, interior controls should be perfectly clear, especially when there is no glare... And when there is glare, the game makes it clear when it should kind of be slightly blinding.

The night time improvements are also what making the evening lighting unrealistic. If you are talking the evening, then I agree. Some areas are too pitch black when it should be dim. I think that's a consequence of getting midnight lighting correct.

I tested ATS and ETS2 1.40 and I already want to downgrade both.:steamfacepalm:

I agree with this poster, check your advanced graphics setup, especially scale, reflection and brilliance. Do the same for ATS as well, get this right and new lighting is really effective

Well after some messing about it turned out to be an issue with the light visibility ranges (sort of) option..... I had it turned off because with it on my Man tgx internal lighting had a really bright orange glow so i commandeered one of my Scania`s for 5 minutes then switched back only to find my internal was without the orange glow and all is running properly so may have just been a glitch in the update, currently running medium on LVR but i do find most of the street lights omit a lot of yellow.....most street lights where i live are more of a warm white color, but apart from that all is good.
