yes trackir works flawlessly, i cant play any sim without it. totally worth it. some people will say that the knock-off brands work fine, but i think its worth the extra money to get the real thing.

get the track clip pro bundle https://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/trackir5/

The LEDs on the track clip pro are way better than the passive ir reflectors on the regular track clip.

!00% This.^^^^
Track Clip pro is essential unless you are a vampire or live in a cave, it also offers finer tracking and better latency than the reflector clip.

Have a look at tobii EyeTracker 5 as an alternative.
There are also apps that use the camera on you phone as tracker as well.

I've been using the reflective strip version for a few years now and I wouldn't be able to play without it. I've had absolutely zero issues with the hat clip at all, I see no reason to upgrade to the PRO IR in my case.

So long as you set up the sensors properly you shouldn't have much issue.

I also have had no issues. I have an earlier model and found the latest drivers work fine. I had the eye glass "pointer" but ended up using the hat clip...much lighter.

Hello,
I agree with everyone above, Track IR is amazing and really changes the immersion when driving.
I personally use the "Delan Clip" at first for DCS but it has been brilliant in ATS / ETS 2 without any issues.
Whichever unit you go for you need to spend the time setting up. Don't rush it and all should be grand. Much cheaper than VR too.
Keep trucking

Right! Delan Clip is also a very good alternative which I also use. Just keep in mind that you don't have any light sources or windows behid you that can cause issues with the detecting. But I think tis is also true for other solutions like TrackIR.
