I've had mine for a year and no problems.
The game supports wheels with a 900 degree turn radius. So that is Lagitech G920, G29 and G923 with either playstation or xbox button setup.
From Thrustmaster the T150 (automatic 2 pedals) T150 Pro (Thrustmaster Pro versions have 3 pedals), there is also the TMX and TMX Pro
The New Thrustmaster T248 is released on October 21st.
There are cheaper wheels with suckers to stick to the top of your desk for a fraction of a thrustmaster or Logitech but you get what you pay for so look for a deal on the above models and get a much better piece of kit that can last for years.
Also, enter the competition to win a new Thrustmaster T248:

Make sure that you download the software for your wheel. I use G-Hub, but some prefer the older LGS for force feed back. Never download both as running 2 different applications for a wheel causes all sorts of funky stuff.
If anyone ends up with two different logitech software on their computer, I have a safe link for the discontinued Logitech WheelDriverCleaner - give me a shout if you need it.
I recommend that once you activate you wheel software and allow drivers to download and the wheel to be seen in the software that you then reboot your computer before continuing with setting up for ANY games.
Here are my personal G-Hub settings for G920
Click on your Wheel and Pedal picture when it appears in G-Hub, you have three TABs on the side menu Assignments Box with + in the centre, wheel, wheel image and three pedals.
Select 'Steering Wheel' and set the following options.
Operating Range 900
Sensitivity 50
Centering Spring Strength ~25
Many wheel and pedal sets don't register or will not set up IF you have a generic controller setting active for the game. From the Steam Library, right click on ETS 2, select Properties, then 'Controller'. Disable 'generic controller'. You can also do this for all your Steam games via the big Picture mode for Steam.
For my Logitech Logitech pedal settings, the following work for me - these are in the games own control settings section.
Controller Subtype - Wheel
Transmission-Real Automatic - Unless you have a shifter use REAL AUTOMATIC
Steering Sensitivity 100% (slider to the right)
Steering Non linearity 0-10% depending on your preference.
Steering Axis - Joy WheelAxis
Steering Axix deadzone 0% (slider 100% left)
Steering Axis mode - Centred
Acceleration Axis - Joy Accelerattor
Acceleration axis deadzone ~0 - 5%
Acceleration axis mode - Inverted
Click 'Joy Accelerator' button and depress accelerator to set up.
Brake axis - Joy Brake
Brake axis deadzone 0%
Brake axis mode - Inverted
click 'Joy brake' button and depress brake pedal to set up.
Keys and Buttons menu settings (If you want to use the paddles for turn signals, then choose your personal shift up/down options.
On the Secondary controls set wheel paddles for
Shift up - Right Paddle
Shift Down - Left Paddle
Set up wheel and pedals BEFORE you start thinking about setting any buttons. features
Logitech: G29, G920, G923
Trustmaster: T150, T300 аnd soon T243 will be on sale (but i don't know price)
Shop around, check price history over some time (there are websites that have info about it over a period of recent time)
In short, prices for wheels change quite often and may even vary at the same time at different sellers.
