Pressing Key Outside Game
Hi,

I know the title doesn't make much sense :)
What I wanted to do is mute/unmute my MIC while playing; I'm OK using both KB, Mouse or Controller to make that happen.

ATM I have a software in Windows which alternates mute/unmute while pressing the "INSERT" key and I also have a AutoHotKey script which binds "INSERT" to my mouse's fourth button, so it's easy to do that in most cases.

When playing ETS2 tho, neither INSERT nor my mouse button work; I also just tried to bind the INSERT key to my X360 Controller, to no avail. Game doesn't let key commands go outside of it.

Is there **anything** else I can do?

Are you using your mic for discord or other program? ETS currently only supports PTT (push to talk) and I don't think there is an option to mute mic. Sounds like its your voice app that is having an issue

I'm not using the PTT function in convoy, I'm trying to stream with OBS.
Also, I'm not using any other voice app, just OBS and MicMute* to mute/unmute my MIC system wide.

The problem is ETS2 witch grabs all the inputs.

Compile your autohotkey script as an exe then you should be able to hook your press

I have the same exact command, but I'm using MicMute from Github, as linked earlier.

One thing isn't clear to me: are you pressing your mouse button when the game is running and on foreground?
