G29 buttons
My G29 is working fine - except the buttons. I can configure them - but ETS2 ignores them completely!! Why and how can this be fixed ??

Ye, I can get all the buttons to work now, IF I can assign them in the game. But a button like F12 that resets the VR view can't be assigned to the wheel, since it doesn't show up in the options and assigning it in LGS does nothing..

But that is probably not a bug from the lgs and just not a supported "feature" by the game
I have bound my g1-6 keys on my logitech keyboard to f13-f18....and none of those keys are detected in the game, but other software uses them as those perfectly fine.......maybe the same problem you describe.

Try using a program such as XPadder, Joystick Gremlin or Joy2Key. You can use them to assign controller buttons or axes to just about any other function/key stroke you want.

For example, I use a button box with an ignition key so when I turn the key, the box sends a command that the software then turns into 'key stroke, pause 1.5s, key stroke' which means ETS2 sees 2 key strokes 1.5s apart, triggering both the electric and engine ignition in game with one button externaly.

Very clever! I will remember that if I ever get a button box.

My G29 seems to only work (at least in the LGS testing window) if connected to an USB 2.0, so if it's on a USB 3.0 port it's like it's not even there. That might be just for me, though, but it's worth a check.
