brake pedal failed
hi all i know this question has possibly been asked over the years but looking for an update i have a G27 wheel and pedals and brake pedal has failed i'm guessing it's the potentiometer at fault does anyone know where replacements can be sourced and if so could you let me know please alternatively if any one has any pedals that they no longer need and would be willing to break down for parts i really do not want to give up my G27 its the only wheel i have ever used and love it

If you always drive Automatic you could just swap in the clutch pot, but if you want all 3 pedals functional, once I made double sure that it is indeed the pot that is defective I'd just go with the 3DRap solution and be done with it.

replace just the brake pot or go preventative and do all 3

Have you checked with Logitech to see if they have parts?
I would think they do, I don't know.

How has it actually failed? I take my G27 pedals apart every so often to clean out the cat hair that accumulates in them, the pot starts putting out funny readings (you'll see the green bar in the controls screen flicker for side to side even with no pedal movement, and it'll cancel Cruise Control or stop engine-brakes from coming on too unless I make the deadzones huge). Might be worthwhile pulling them apart (there are videos on Youtube, it's pretty simple) and giving everything a clean, if they are actually physically broken then I doubt Logitech will have spare parts so you might need to buy a second-hand set to either replace complete or swap out the broken bits

Good luck as it seems a long term fix as it allows the use of off the shelf pots, so if one were to ever go bad in future at least it's just a $4 part to replace. Logitech is HORRIBLE about repair part availability, so it is about always necessary to work around them. Let us know what you think once you have them in hand :cozybethesda:

I had my pots replaced with hall effects last year, best thing ever done to the G29 peddles, gorgeously smooth.

There is that option too. Years ago I went to a pneumatic load cell for my G25 brake, that was literally a game changer although as I remember it set me back about 75 USD just for the one pedal. I'd venture that 98% of the value of precise pedals is in the brake, though, at least for racing, the only genre where that sort of thing much counts.
