Older trucks in ETS2
Basically, I hope we can get some older trucks in ETS2 like the Scania 143, etc. I want older 80s and 70s trucks in ETS2 so we can get a little bit more variation. I also hope we can get something similar to Ekeri boxes and trailers on our trucks so we aren't limited to just semitrailers.

You and me both but ....its all about Licencing and their "image" they care about when giving said license . Thankfully we have moders to fill in that gap :)

Won't happen from SCS as they and the manufacturers only want the current trucks in the game. But you can get them via mods.

I'm aware of that, but imagine how cool it would be to drive those trucks in TruckersMP.. I see we won't be able to do that anytime soon then I guess.

Talking about current trucks, I wish they add Volvo FH16, at pic on paper 3 other trucks was stacked on top of it, supposedly axle can handle a lot of mass.

The FH16 is in the game already.

It's not just about what SCS and the current manufacturers want.

Companies change ownership but the copyright does not always follow the change in ownership (Rolls Royce is a case in point because ownership of the RR name and badge is retained by the aero engine manufacturer and the spirit of ecstasy, car plant at Crewe, car designs, grille design, etc... is owned by Volkswagen. this means that BMW (who own the actual car manufacturing business) actually has to pay royalties to both the aero engine manufacturer and Volkswagen for their use of various copyrights).

This means that licencing an older vehicle is fraught with copyright issues that can make negotiation a very long and expensive business.

Yes, but I didn't want to go that much into details.
