Me think that people have been asking for buyable and customizable trailers for years, that SCS knows it but also that SCS did it years ago in the older games and chose to not do it again.
From my view as an outsider, Europe does not have as many Owner Operators as the U.S. in proportion to those that work either as a Lease Operators or Company Operators. There are a lot, sure. But most drivers that I've found pull a trailer they do not own.
SCS would need to revamp the garages to have a place for trailers, and expand the UI to cover trailer ownership needs. Then you need to buy trailers for your drivers and basically, you're shifting the whole economy over.
As for buying a trailer that you provide the specifications for. I'd love something like that. But again, as an outsider, I have never heard of a driver buying a custom-spec trailer for their operation. Only buying a standard trailer that was already designed for mass production.
