Can I run this game in offline mode??

I remember that I could still play in offline like half year ago, however 2 days ago my Internet was down (thanks to developed country Australia with an Internet connection slower than developing countries). Anyway, I could not start the game in offline. So is it true?

Just start the game directly from steam, not from mptruckers starter. This game is always offline. MPtruckers is only a mod for game unsupported by game developers. Core game is always offline (without world of truckers cargos)

You can play ETS with Steam in offline mode, but Steam inventory items and World of Trucks won't work.

Acheivements will not work. (Sorry pieperjohanns if that is the same as steam inventory, i dont know :) )

Steam inventory items are the things like cabin accessories that you earned through World of Trucks events or bought on market place.
I think you are right, other Steam features won't work either (like achievements or display of total time played).
