3 axles 1 steerable spread rear - rolling over with this one is so freaking easy
3 axles for ADR jobs such as the ones that contain lead, arsenic and whatever - requires going past 50km/h in not so tight corners
3 axles used to carry stones, sand etc - still have to try this one
Once again bailed out straight after doing one Praha-Dresden / Dresden-Praha delivery for the WoT event as this time the 3 axles spread steerable trailer just gave me the middle finger at the ramp of autobahn entrance just outisde Dresden, guess I'll let other people do this thing and stop at 23ish jobs with 7aborted ones due trailer stupidity.
Hope X-mas event will just require 24 jobs per game like last year and nothing more
It happened to me two times aferr the update: Approaching a surprising bend to fast...
Thereby, it really doesn´t matter which truck or trailer with whatever kind of chassis I drive. Only the flatbet with the helicopter doesn´t tip over, though it heavily leans to the sides - not realistic.
I tried to find out at what speed they tip, or what kind of trailer or load it is, but it is random - quite often unfortunately, but still random.
As for the other things:
I KNOW truck speed limits and I KNOW realistic behaviour - as I indeed AM driving one - no semi, but still a truck and trailer combination. So I know that I am capable of going 80 on a highway. Highway bends are designed so trucks can pass them with 80 - or else there are special signs saying otherwise.
I can happily live with the trailer being unstable on a curvy road in the middle of nowhere, but a double starting to jump around on a highway with less than 80?
As I said, a friend of mine doesn´t have these issues. So, I guess it must be about my game being broken in a way. Due to my very bad internet connection at the moment, I won´t be able to reinstall the game in the next weeks - but I will do this as a last try to fix it. When I have done this and the issue is still there, I think I will just give up on it.
For ATS it is the same, though I never used any mods with this installation. That´s why I thought it may be about the G29, but I tried a lot of different settings for the wheel and it still happens. So yeah, seems to be it.
Or you could contact SCS on their forum with your log file, maybe they can help.
I know they are scaled down, having a couple of quite sharp turns. But it also happens in those turns not being sharp, that you can easily go through with 80.
Like, my friend goes through, I tip over. Same load, same speed, same trailer. Must be something about my game.
Maybe you have the settings opposite of what you think they are?
Well, beyond the nice necro:
I've found 4x2 trucks to be inherently unstable in corners (Not helped that I like to keep pace with cars, which typically involves driving slightly above speed limit)... To the point that I will only use a long 6x4 or 8x4 chassis. It seems to have helped considerably with stability.
I haven't used keyboard controls, but is the immediate input what's causing the rollovers? Mouse-steering has been pretty smooth for me, and I think you can set mouse steering so that you can fine-tune small wheel adjustments (Eg: driving on the freeway) but as soon as you swing the mouse further to one side or the other, the steering becomes much sharper (City streets). Currently I use and have been happy with linear steering progression.
I suppose if all else fails, you could try to use a realistic physics mod?
^ This fixed excessive tilting for me
