Truck Stability way too bad...
Hey guys, it´s me again!
Since the 1.32 is out of the beta, I cannot really enjoy playing both ETS and ATS as the trailer stability is just screwed up. No idea what SCS has done on that...
Sometimes I drive 70 where there is 80 allowed, but in the next slight turn the truck tips over. Especially with doubles. As soon as I drive trailers with more than one pivot point they start jumping and flipping and bouncing even if I just gently use the steering wheel. No matter what truck chassis or brand I use.
It´s so annoying! Especially, since I maxed out the trailer stability. I drive trucks in real life, so I know for fact that this is not how it is supposed to be.

Anyone with the same issue or solution?

Cheers and thanks for the help!

Using a 4x2 Truck the past 2 days, also drive as 70 KM/h on high-ways, my Truck never had problems.

Although I prefer 6x4 in most my trucks, as is the middle ground for normal and heavy cargo.

You may be turning to hard, you doing tight corners at 70 KM/h for that to happen, if you wanna push the truck that far you'll need 6x2.

check your Trailer Stability settings in Gameplay. Turn it up if you have to

then it's clearly something else going on.

OP, do you have a Physics Mod installed? Those can cause all kinds of problems and aren't actually recommended
I for one have had the same problem.

Thanks for the quick responding!
No, currently I have no mods installed. The issue just occured after they released 1.32, during beta it worked fine for me.
As I said, chassis doesn´t matter. I am using 6x4 at the moment but it crashes just as often as the 4x2.
Also, I am using the G29 steering wheel, so I take turns as smooth as possible. And we aren´t talking about sharp corners. Just some time ago, I was driving through Scandinavia with a friend. We both used the similar double trailer with the same load. He was more or less racing the turns with about 90, no problem. I tipped over with less than 70.
I do have another friend who has the same problem I have. Seems like not everyone does have it.
Once, I tried putting the trailer stability to the lowest - I couldn´t drive with doubles anymore, they started jumping and tipping over even as I was driving 20-30 below the speed limit...

Did you try it on a new game?
Quite often when a game has a major update like they did in 1.32, you need to start a new game to avoid problems.

I started a new game a few days back when I saw the announcement for the Germany Connections and haven't see that issue. I've driven doubles at faster than what I am supposed to on off ramps, etc and haven't had it tip over and my trailer stability is at default.

No, I did not yet.
I put a lot of efford into this save, trying to get all garages, achievements and map discovery.
Would be 200 hours worth of time to create a new profile.

I was just curios whether there was someone with the same issue who found a solution. Otherwise, I guess I will need to give the trailer stability a higher value in the game files. I wanted to avoid this, that´s why I am asking.

Back up your profile. And maybe also saved games. In My documents. Then you can reinstall without losing your progress.
just for the sake of asking . . . you sure you moved the stability slider the right way?

@LordOfWar
Maybe a solution, I may try it out the next days.

@JDaremo Fireheart
Yes, I am very sure. :D
I did even try to move the slider to the opposite side in case SCS changed that for some reason - but as it was more or less unplayable after that, I moved the slider back to where it was - which gave me the most stability I could get. Still, less than I used to have.

That is interesting. Do you both use the same wheel? Do you use the same setting for "steering sensitivity" and "steering non-linearity"? Do you use the same kind of truck chassis?

You can adjust the stability using the console command "g_trailer_stability".
