Dirt on trucks
I start this discussion because i want to know how much players agree to me. It will be cool to see in the future updates, that our trucks get dirty? From my point of view, it will be a nice feature.
ps. Please agree this to be seen by developers. Thanks

SCS has already tried to implement this but it did not work the way they wanted. They may likely try again in the future.

Yea it will if you have the option to turn it off in the menu, becouse i know from FS15 and FS 17. It get a really boring to wash your machines all the time.

When that is said, I don't think you ever will see it in the ETS2 or ATS for that matter. Becouse the Truck manufactors, have to support it, SCS can't just put it in without promission from the Truck manufactors. And they will problely not see there trucks get dirty or damage in the games.

What has dirt to do with manufactors and permissions? In LR truck's get realy dirty and i think the manufactors will not fine every truck that is dirty? Its a little bit over the top from some truck brands. Lets get dirty!!!! Ist fun and it happens al the time!!

Seeing as SCS already tried to put it in, I don't think the truck manufacturers care regarding dirt. You could say the same about rain water and getting the trucks wet, which is already implemented.

As for it getting boring washing your equipment all the time, why would you wash it more than once per few in-game weeks. They are work equipment. They are meant to be dirty.

True like hell!!
This seems to be a popular request, but personally i hope this doesnt happen. Prefer my truck clean.

Its nature if you drive a truck, you clean it often. Afterwards your rig is shiny again. Thats why some say if it commes, there is an on/off mode. For me? For shure on!!

WAY down on my list of things I'd like to see SCS do. They have a lot of things to address that are a lot more important.

Opening this old one again! Yes, can we sign a petition to at least have the option to activate dirt, smashed bugs on the windshield, maintenance / wear and tear and such? would be awesome to have. as an option - there are some haters around i saw. :) :steamhappy:

What more need be said?

It would be nice if it was added, this is now a few years old thread, maybe not on the trucks, but on the cars would be great - Talking of the cars I use Jazzy packs, are they any packs compatible with 1.37 where the cars are dirty ?

Since there currently seem to be people interested in this:

(I didn't check if they work. Personally, while dirt may improve immersion when driving 8x4 and/or heavy costruction cargo, logs etc., dirt isn't #1 on my wishlist either. But if they can't make it work "dynamically", maybe just offer a gameplay option to toggle some static dirt overlay texture.)

I don't like the idea, but if SCS decides to implement it, i hope it's optional :-)

lately SCS is rather good at doing stuff nobody cares for, but a few, so expect it to happen sometime soon(ish)
