Difference in truck dealers?
Hello,
Is there any difference between X truck dealer in city 1 and X(same) truck dealer in city 2?
Different trucks? prices? customizations?
Or the only difference is the city?

There is no difference. Just multiples so it is easier to find a dealer for each brand.

There can be a difference in manufacturer (eg. is is a Volvo or Scania dealer), but otherwise no, there is no difference. You can tell the manufacturer by hovering over the dot on the truck dealer map and looking at the logo above the dot.

Thats a shame, as each manufacture supposed to have 8 trucks, but very often many of them have actually the same truck with very little difference.
I was hoping the other MAN/DAF/etc... in the other city might have different trucks. :(

All dealers of the same brand are the same and at the same time there are only 1 (MAN) or 2 (other brands; well, Scania is going to have 2 more soon) trucks that a dealer really has, the rest variety is just pre-customization. You can pick either model, customize it and have the same result as picking a different one. The only thing that matters is, for example, whether you pick DAF XF 105 or DAF XF Euro 6 as a base (Volvo FH16 2009 or Volvo FH16 2012 in Volvo dealer, e.t.c.). Everything else within a brand is customizable to the same result.

Actually there is one small difference. Trucks at the UK dealers are right-hand drive by default (you can change it of course).

Although, trucks for a particular brand are the same for that manufacturer at any of its dealers, you can customize them to your liking with other options.

And one advantage of discovering different dealers is that if you want to travel somewhere, you are going to buy a truck and drive it, you can "visit" a dealer to buy a truck, "Drive it" from that location, and they will ship your previous truck to any of your garages at no cost.
only true difference is when you buy a truck and drive it immediately... then you are in that town of that dealer... can have pros and cons...also doesnt matter if you buy it for other drivers or later when you just buy them "online"...

there might be people who like driving to each location themselves, so having a dealer close might serve some purpose for them i guess

One difference is that some dealers are full-service and have repair shops while others just sell trucks. If you look at their icons on the maps, you can tell which is which.

There is a rumor that some dealers offer a discount on some models. I saw the DAF XF 105 and the old Actros cheaper at some dealer, but can't remember where it was and under which circumstances...

Much cheaper? If not, then I suppose the circumstances are: different model picked for customization. While normally you get full price compensation when replacing parts on a new (not sold yet) truck, some parts may be replaced with reduction (and it's not paint: even though it says "0", you don't lose on changing it during purchase). The general idea is if you want to pay as little as possible for a specific custom truck, pick the simpliest model as a base for customization. I, however, prefer to pick the one closer to what I want regarding major parts (cab, chassis), so that the process of customization feels more realistic.
