UK Overhaul

I think the uk should possibly get an overhaul from scs same as france did....especcially on the minor roads could be more hedgrows,stonewalls and more farms. Wonder is this in the pipeline in this fantastic simulator

You requesting we have narrow country lanes too! Could be fun, or a nightmare if the AI cars come towards you and can't get past so you have to reverse back :P

Probably, SCS intends to add all of Europe to the game only thing is we haven't a clue how they decide what to work on when it comes to countries and I think they also intend to rework all the old parts of the map to bring them up to par with more up to date parts. Rumour has it that Italy is next, but take that with a grain of salt.

Look at it this way, whenever SCS adds Ireland to the game they'll basically have to rework Britain at some point considering the fact, in the North which belongs to the UK, the port of Larne connects to Cairnryan in Scotland and the port of Belfast connects to Birkenhead in Liverpool. Down south the port of Dublin connects to what is it.. Bootle in Liverpool and the port of Rosslare connects to the port of Fishguard and the port of Pembroke in Wales (and Roscoff, but that's in France).

Plus, whatever comes first there'll definitely be the assets for villages, stone walls, farming and most definitely, if/when Ireland gets added there will certainly be country and narrow roads in towns and everywhere else for days nevermind the history, easter eggs etc. that could be added as well - if SCS is sticking with when they said any future DLCs they'll be trying to represent the respective country as best they can.

But, like I said, I'm pretty certain SCS has said somewhere that they're going to gradually overhaul all the old parts of the map so I dare say the UK will finally feel and look like how it's meant to haha.

agreed, but my biggest issue with the uk is the frickin haystacks, comeon its not the 1940s, hardly even any small bales used now its all big round or big square bales as its been for many years.

The whole of (old) Europe will be getting an overhaul, this has already been confirmed. And yes, it will be free.

well Germany and UK tops the list for an overhaul i think...im from ireland and would love to see it added too even though it would be pretty small

Ah sure, it's small compared to any other place in the world but feck.. think of the history, mate I'm telling ye ETS2 needs a break from all the WW1&2 history, statues etc. haha where's the variation, y'know? Fair play it's not the prettiest or most prideful sort of history but.. what can ye do? Sure there's Celtic, hell even Viking history that can be linked to Ireland if ye look long enough; did ye know that Ireland used to be Pagan once upon a time and we were converted from Paganism to Christianity by the Catholics, St. Patrick etc.?

I tell ye the history of this country is pretty interesting if you take the time to read about it and I'm not referring to the Troubles or the Norman invasion etc. I think I read that, people who are 100% Irish, Scottish or Welsh, we're the last living descendants of the Celtic people; which is pretty crazy if ye sit down and think about it haha.

If anything needs a facelift, it is Germany, which should be prioritized, because more often than not you have to drive through it when doing a long haul, and clearly the quality and amount of details between Germany and Scandinavia/France is all too noticeble. I would not mind it even in form of DLC if the price is resonable.
