How do you know if your truck can handle heavy cargo?
I just bought the DLC for this.

Not sure if it's feature in pack or in actual patch but now when you browse for jobs when you select a job you want to do it tells you what your current truck is good for: normal cargo, heavy cargo, handling etc.

Okay, I see one for 39,000+ KG. That part of the DLC?

Has an icon so yes! Though wonder if I can do all of the heavy ones..

So, at what KG do I need to drop my mid lift axle>? I picked up this trailer that is 39,000+ KG and its till up (options should drop it if needed).

Also any new functions (keys) I need to know about these new trailers? The wheels in the back turn!

Where is that? I don't see *anything* that fits this description ("it tells you what your current truck is good for").

Any job which has the "Heavy" icon will trigger the Truck Analysis screen when the job is selected.

So you're having a midlift chassis. Should normally do the job, but if you got stuck on a ramp upward, the truck won't probably make it no matter how much HP your truck has. At least my experience...

With a 6x4 or 8x4 you are on the safe side (HP is not that important). I did a couple of heavy cargo jobs with an old Actros 480HP with a 6x4 chassis and had no problems at all.

If it's a freight market job just save it, try it and reload if it doesn't work. With ETS2 and ATS it's often worth trying even if it results in a fail. Experience beats everything... ;)

You can select auto drop in the game options.

Would lean myself out of the window that almost any truck can pull the stuff. Can remember pulling a 65 ton train with a 410hp 6x4 Scania back when heavy cargo was only avaiable by mods. Only thing to remember is the fact that the further away you are from "optimal" conditions, the sooner you will run into trouble.

True. For the "normal" heavy loads almost anything will do, it's just slow going. Two driven axles (??x4 chassis) is the most important thing. For the uber-heavy stuff (+60t, special transports) you'll also want +550ish HP and maybe a crawler gearbox if you need to go uphill.

Ah! I took a look with the external view to take a screenshot for you, them I immediately noticed what is going wrong here. The trailer is attached to my rear wheels, the front part of the trailer is not actually on my truck itself. The trailer is completely bottoming out.
I thought this may be a bug so I did a reload, attached the trailer again but same result. I can't back up any further when I'm in front of the trailer while attaching it.
I made a screenshot but apparently that doesn't work in VR - it's extremely lowres. But I enlarged it so you have an idea of what it looks like:

Cannot even tell that there is anything at all in that blur. Either switch vr off or give up...

Good grief! :steamfacepalm:
How did it lose so many pixels travelling from the game to imgur?
Can't see enough detail to analyse anything. :steamsad:

That was actually harder than you would think :) My racing rig is not near my pc and I have no monitor on my rig, only use VR. But I did my best:

No it wasn't Ingmur - I made a screenshot in VR and the endresult was a 95% black screen with the actual picture in the bottom corner. Making screenshots in VR doesn't seem to work - apparently it's trying to make a 360 degrees picture or something. Anyways, uploaded a slightly better picture now :)
