Game crashes at certain map point

Hey all,

I'm having constantly crashes at a certain point in front of Rennes with the default "ETS 2 -Steam has stopped working..." Error. While having a look at the Gamelog there might be a problem with some files, maybe modded ones (ProMods 2.16 installed). It happens everytime at the same point of the map just before arrival. I put the last log entries at the end. Maybe someone has an idea, what the problem is.

Or trailer mods

Only Trailer Mods, do you think deactivating will help?

Unfortunately will take a lot of time to test, as the mission will reset, but thanks I'll try. :-)

Same here, though i don't have that many errors. But one i have is well is the following:

Already updated my Jazzycat stuff to the latest releases, but still the same. Only other trailer mod i use is Sizil. Do you have that one as well OP?

P.S Or are you using Promods? Can't open the archive unfortunately, but model2 is one of the modfiles that correspond to Promods.

I've had tons of crashes since the last update. My main profile has a lot of mods installed, but it ran just fine inside Germany.

Picked up a new heavy cargo dlc trailer from Osnabruck. When I reached the Denmark border the game started to crash in a certain point in the highway. I was able to go around it using the free camera and teleporting my truck past the crash point.

I drove a bit further but it started crashing again near Odense. Found a way around that point too with the free cam. However I couldn't get past Malmö. It crashes every time I get near that big intersection south of Malmö. Can't find a route around it with the free cam without crashing.

Also tried flying with free cam from Gdansk to Karlskrona but it crashes every time once I reach the coast of Sweden.

My multiplayer profile (which has zero mods installed) is saved in Liverpool's truck service point. I tried loading that one. Once I enter the drive mode the game freezes after a second and I have to kill the process.

Disabling the new heavy cargo dlc makes no difference, still getting these crashes and freezes.

Also while in Denmark near Odense I had this really weird force feedback effect rattling my wheel. Never felt that before. It felt a bit like the engine vibration effect but only stronger.

Had the problem with the flag errors. Finally found the culprit; the sound fixes pack mod. Disabled it and drove past the crashing point on promods with no problem.

The maker of the mod is aware of the problem and will be working on a fix

Yep, just tested it - thats the culprit indeed. Will adjust the mod then according to what abasstreppas wrote on the SCS forum. Thank you very much!

Cool, good to know. I guess that it was that WS update i downloaded earlier this morning. Thanks again for pointing me the right direction. After the adjustment mentioned on the SCS forums i was able to go the last few miles and finish my delivery :)

Also getting some crashes now. Not sure if updating to the most recent nvidia driver has anything to do with it... that was the last change I made. Only running promods.

I run vanilla ETS2 only with DLCs. After the last patch it crashes and has corrupted my save files.

There was a small update today. Did a quick test and scandinavia DLC seems to be working now. However my other profile saved in Liverpool still freezes.

Sorry for the late answer, but I was able to fix mine. Now I'm only using Promods, without the Trailer Pack and no other mods. First I got an DirectX Error, but when I use OpenGL now, everything works fine. I only had "bad" performance around barcelona, which actually doesn't exist on the original map. But at least everything works now! :-)
