In ETS2, my truck always brakes when I release the accelorater,
This just started already, how do I disable "engine brake" and if that doesn´t help, what else can I do?

Hmm Have you tried re-configurating Your wheel could be a glitch in your pedals?

If you use controller or wheel and pedals make sure you have set the deadzone right to prevent ghost input.

Also check your keybindings, there are at least four different keys related to engine brake.

it has to be the retarder or maybe cruise control

No not retarder, check many times and cruise control wouldn´t make the car brake all the time. Checking my G25 wheel seeing if that is out of order

Check your axis setup for throttle and brake. Having them set wrong (ie centered etc) will cause this exact issue.

Adjust the dead zones for accelerator and brakes

Have you considered looking at your keybinds? There's both a push- and a toggle button for activation, plus increase/decrease.

If your truck makes a loud-ish noise when you lift off the throttle, then it probably is the engine brake toggled.
