Can i use a logitech G920 shifter as an indicator/blinker/turn signal stalk?
I'm trying to use a G920 shifter as a custom indicator so I don't have to use the paddles. I've made a kind of crappy mount to attach it to my wheel stand out of wood and bound the buttons and that all works, when i put the indicator down stalk down the left indicator comes on and same for the right but when i put it back into the middle it doesn't turn off. This is because the shifters input is being treated as a button rather than a switch. I dont know how to change the code to make it like a switch so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

The shifter is actually designed to shift between the gears, and as you already know thus a switch that locks on or off.
In the game, the blinker swich is obviously configured as a virtuel switch that may have a short impulse both to activate and deactivate the blinker. surely because the blinkers normally switches off when the steering wheel being centered again after have be turned to the blinker side.
So I don't think it's possible to make a perfect working setup where you use the shifter to activate/deactivate the blinker.

Thanks for the reply briannospam. There must be a way to recode the sii files like what SKRS users had to do before scs integrated the switch or button configuration into the game, they changed the code using the exclamation mark expression so the range selector on the side of the shifter knob was treated like a swtich rather than button, i was wondering if something similar may be possible

I think it maybe would be easier if you change your controls setup a little?
Now I don't know how you shift gears? (automatic or manual?)

If you use automatic gear and have setup 2 buttons for that, you instead can setup your shifter to forward, neutral and reverse position, and this should free the 2 gear buttoms to be used to the blinkers.

Starting to dismount the G29 for blinkers is just asking for trouble. The rig cost already 300$, can’t afford a new one right now. Not only that playing with that will void your guarantee if you mess it up.
