Sequencial transmission on controller

Hi, I'm using a dualshock 4 controller and everything works fine, except when playing with sequencial transmition.

Usually I press R1 and L1 to shift in between gears, but when in sequencial it doesn't work.
If I play on my keyboard SHIFT and CTRL work just fine.

I'm using DualShock support on steam, no other softwares and the default layout configuration on Big Picture.

Hi,

Aren't the options available the following though?

Automatic

Realist Automatic

Sequencial (which would be manual)

H Gearbox


I get what you're saying and that Sequencial = Manual, but I can't seem to shift on Manual while I know for a fact that other players can.

Also it's not the controller itself, because in automatic realistic you need to shift while reversing and in order to get into first gear.

Sequential is a form of automatic that lets you limit the transmissions ability to decide when to shift. Why not just use Real Automatic, just three buttons to program and that's what modern real life trucks use...

Real automatic just allows me to shift between reverse neutral and first

Reverse, neutral, and FORWARD, just like real life. In forward you're more likely to start off in fifth than first.

So am I driving automatic trucks?
After neutral all I get is A11 and so on, and I'm not allowed to shift gears

Just like in real life you don't have to worry about shifting gears. Modern transmissions tend to be automated, actually, rather than automatic. They are manual which use servos controlled by computers to decide when to shift. I don't use a gamepad, but if did that's certainly how I'd set things up, just put it in Forward and drive
