Transferring data from one PC to another
Hey guys
So recently I decided to build a new PC, but I want to know, is there a way for me to transfer my current data and files from one PC to another without needing to restart the game from square one e.g One truck, one parking slot. Is there a way for me to do this?

The game supports Steam Cloud function, unless you've turned it off.

Thats true but when that is said, Don't forget Steamcloud don't save the mods you haven't got from the Workshop. That means all mods you have found on Websites for mods you have to copy over in the mod- folder yourself.

The easy way to do that is, use a USB stick and copy the hole Modfolder on your old PC and copy that over to your new PC.

Steam Cloud is enabled on my end. I think I'll also backup my files as well

It may be enabled in the Steam properties but it is active on your game profiles? Personally I would not rely on the cloud feature ensuring that I don't lose any saved games - back up the whole of your old PC. Depending on how much disk space it has there are different approaches possible, but I would invest in a spare drive and take a copy of the whole of your existing setup to a virtual disk format (I've used disk2vhd successfully in the past).

From a pragmatic perspective, the main thing you need a backup of is the game's directory in your Documents, but I'd expect you to back up the whole of that area anyway.

It is always a good idea to back up the game from time to time.

Steamcloud save the latest played version of the game, But also as you say in your case i would back up my "Euro Truck Simulator 2" folder, and save it on a USB stick, and when you have your new PC up runing with all, Then download ETS2 from Steam again. When that is done op your new ETS2 Folder on you your new PC. And replace all there is in it with all you have in the ETS folder you have backed up from your old PC.

If you do it this way you are 100% sure that the game starts where you left it on your old PC.

I changed my PC very recently . Went very smoothly . I simpily installed steam, logged on and downloaded my games. ETS2 reinstalled my profile and there were no issues there.  I copied my mod folder contents onto a USB drive and reinstalled it on the new PC in the documents folder. All went well

You can make backup of "My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2" folder into a ZIP file. If you don't want to redownload your Stream games, launch steam app, click "Steam" menu on the far top left, and select "Backup and Restore Games". You can pick what games to backup, advised to backing them all. Move the Steam backup file and your game data ZIP file to a pen drive (or similar storage drive).

On the new PC, install Steam app, and make sure you logged in to Steam using the same account used to backup your games. Select again "Steam" menu followed with "Backup and Restore Games", then restore your Steam games backup stored in the pen drive. Extract the ZIP file back to your "My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2" folder in the new PC.

I use one drive from one computer to the other. Very Easy!
