I've been trying to figure out if I can fool it somehow by moving stuff out of the backup profile it created into my live one, but don't have a clue if that's even possible.
No, when you load a save from the previous version it resets the jobs in progress and moves you back to your HQ.
No idea why they had to reset the profiles because of this.
Strange...
But this really does not happen often.
So there is no need to avoid long distance jobs because of this.
My 230k Job, 1h for Istanbul was canceled...
I tuned my truck an saw, there are new pictures for motorblock and so on... i think thats the problem for the reset...
This is because there's no way of knowing - without scanning EVERYone's game saves one by one - where player's trucks are, so to save thousands and thousands of crash games because the particular part of the map you were on, doesn't exist or has been changed, the devs created a situation where you are 'airlifted' from whereever you are, back 'home, without financial penalty.
Or, would you rather they didn't do this, and when a map update arrives (such as today) your save game crashes and is irretrievable. I mean, gone. Because the map data stored in the save game data, doesn't exist.
Today's update was something about a WoT Event? I was lucky, I was parked at my garage anyway.
