ETS2 save editing

I have been trying to save edit my truck (daf ) with an scania engine everything works fine until i quit the game . That is the game freezes my pc if I try to Quit . Also i have not noticed much difference in the engine it just says 730 hp but actually there is not much difference in the 530 hp and the 730 hp . is there something SCS has done to prevent this :(

Instead of save editing, why not look for engine mods or something? That would be far safer to do.

But i cant use engine mods in TMP :{
I have a Daf xf 520 hp but it seems to struggle with some load and also the pickup is very slow making people behind me angry :(

well I like my DAF a lot , so switching over might be little difficult . I have managed to get the save edit but doesn't seem to have much difference , so was wondering if i could get a fix for that?

Edit: i used the V8 730 hp from scania with not much difference:(

It's not a horsepower issue, it's a torque issue. If you don't change your transmission, then it won't matter how much HP you throw at it.

You should not care about people getting angry about traffic. That is their (mental) problem, not yours.
You could also choose lighter loads so your truck doesn't struggle too much.

The thing is i have Owned Trailer even with that empty it wont go up hill easily
and in bumper to bumper traffic C-D road (IK i should avoid it) it takes some time to pull

Which transmission do You sugest for the DAF

Maybe there's something else wrong with your game or setup? Empty trailer means that your truck is about 24 tons lighter than a fully loaded 40-ton truck, it should accelerate quite fast then.

TBH Honest i run a potato I3 8th gen intel uhd 620 and 12gb ram
so u mean my pc is bad . is it because of lag i might be facing the slow pickup and stuff

yeah with save edit i use the 750hp volvo engine with its own opticruise (I think) transmission
its the 12+2 speed retarder with the lower ratio

What are you guys all using for editing the saves these days I have decrypted the files but when I open the Def file and go to the truck folder its empty

The def folder structure has nothing to do with save editing, per se. Perhaps you need to explain what you're trying to do.
