Intel i7-5500U & Geforce 840M 4GB + 16GB MEMORY DDR3 - LOW FPS at lenovo z70-80

Hi guys, I have this set up at my laptop Lenovo z70-80 Intel i7-5500U & Geforce 840M 4GB + 16GB MEMORY DDR3 and i have low fps at high details at 1920x768 resolution. Is it normal ? I saw that people play on really lower specs without any problems. What can be the route of the problem ? I have win10 and all drivers are updated. The game is original of course. Can u help me pls ?

i play on the lowest specs possible. i have a hp pavillion touch screen laptop with core i3 from about 3 years ago and 4 gigs of ram and my resolution is 1366 by 768. i run euro truck on direct x 64bit with lowest graphics and get 200 frames in menus and 30 or even above in game

I've tried to start it with both directx and OpenGl compatibility and still nothing. In my opinion it should be smooth in ultra settings without problems. Dont know what cause it. Damn...

The GPU in it may be too weak for running games at 1080p. (at least the benchmarks here http://www.notebookcheck.com/NVIDIA-GeForce-840M.105680.0.html ) suggest that..

Mate i started GTA V at maximum settings without any delay and fps drops. Its smooth. And compare graphic of EUTS2 and GTA V......

Two different game engines. It's not about the resolution being displayed, it's about the models and textures being rendered.

One thing to look at, is to see if the power settings in Windows are set up for longer battery life. This will cause Windows to throttle the CPU and GPU so as not to consume so much power and cause your performance to take a dive.

Ofc its setup for the maximum performance. Both in windows settings and nvidia panel.

i really doubt if you can run it on highest settings,840m is not too good.

My previous laptop had the same setup i7 5500u and gt840m 4gb and I could never play ets2 on high settings with decent fps, that graphics card is simply not powerful enough. I bought a Asus Rog GL752vw with i7 6700HQ and Gtx 960m 4gb and now it runs very smoothly on high/ultra

Thx for answers guys. I didnt know that this GPU is so low. My bad then. Thought that if GTA V runs at medium/high setup, the EUTS2 will be a piece of cake.
