Why does my wheel not work properly.
I am struggling to get my dfgt to work properly with ets2, when i rotate the wheel the in game steering will rotate at the same rate as the wheel only half way through the rotation, then at halfway the in game steering will go straight to full lock with only 1 degree of extra rotation. I have watched a few tutorials, no success. i have my steering set to 900 degrees in the logitech software, even if i reduce the rotation nothing happens. I have no clue why it is not working as it is selected as a wheel in the ets2 settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is currently undriveable.

What type of wheel you have, would be great to know if anyone should help you out here.

Noone can help without any information on what help you need and what type of hardware we have to help you with.

Ok in your Logitech profile for the wheel you set it to 900 degrees, the rest of the set up you do in your ETS2 settings if the game not find your wheel you have to find it manual, there is vidio's out on Youtube how to set it up also if you can't get to work anyway. Some of them are really good.

How the Driving Force GT works, i don't know i have the G27 but i think the set up will be almust the same way, but im not 100 procent sure im right about that.

I have installed these drivers multiple times, when i try to set the wheel up manually in the game as it doesn't recognise it the issue happens when i cannot controll half the in game steering. I have watched a few youtube tutorials and they all seem to not have the same issue as me. I know it is something to do with the game itself, as the steering axis in the controlls works perfectly but then in the wizard and the game it does not work, i will try a fresh install of ets2 and see what happens

Try unassigning keyboard controls for steering. This has worked in some cases of the steering 'full lock snapping'. Also some other solutions are known, but I can't recall off the top of my head.

Nothing I try is working, I know it is a game issue but I don't know what issue, is there any way I can get the game to register it as a wheel?, It might make it work but I don't know. Thanks for all the suggestions, it is rather annoying for me

what worked for me was to delete the controls.sii file, for me this is located in documents, euro truck folder, steam profiles, then in the steam profiles folder there is a folder named some random string of numbers and letters. the controlls.sii file should be in there. your file may be somewhere slightly different, just look for the one with the newest date and time.

i think it bugs out if you connect a controller, then a wheel, and try to configure the wheel. it really annoyed me for a while, hope this helps.

I have a driving force GT, using it for this game.

I did have problems with it in in win7, mostly about finding drivers. Ended up with some wierd old gulliat drivers for some reason. My new rig with win10 found it when plugged it in.

Sorry to continue the necro, but pertinent, is there is now ingame setting for making animation match the rotation degrees of steering wheels.

Use the slider to select the correct degrees for your wheel and in LGHUB. e.g. 900 ingame = 900 on wheel.

While nice of you, and true, that has very little to do with the actual issue in this thread. :)
