Euro Truck Simulator 2 Crashing for no clear reason.

Hi everyone. Not 100% sure If this is the correct place to put it, but I'm having a few problems with ETS2 crashes for no reason. I thought I'd ask here first, then if I cannot get a fix or a reason for the crash then I'd ask SCS directly or try a different forum.

It's safe to say in the last 3 years or so of me owning ETS2 I've had no problems with it, nothing serious anyway. Just the other day I got a new CPU and Motherboard. Due to this, I had to do a fresh install of Windows. Installed Steam perfectly fine. Although I noticed after installing ETS2 MP and doing a few jobs I noticed it would randomly crash, but not fully crash. It would crash, then it would reload.. (just like when you click drive and you're presented with the little bar going across to show progression of loading.) sometimes it would do that, sometimes if would completely crash to desktop. So I tried removing mods, etc etc to see if that was the cause. Still doing it. I also tried launching the game with Direct X and Open GL, still getting crashes. This is with or without Truckers MP, so I think it's a problem with the game itself. I did a fresh install this morning of ETS2 (uninstalling through Steam, then deleting all relevant ETS2 folders, it's still Crashing. This mornings crash was a complete crash to desktop though.

I have copied my game.log as I imagine someone will want to see it. Bare in mind this game.log is after the fresh install I did this morning, so completely vanilla game, no mods.

Thanks for the help guys. I appear to have fixed the problem by restoring my GPU overclock settings to default. I guess that was what was causing it to crash. Cheers. Happy Trucking :)

We don't need the game.crash file. Only the devs from SCS can read it. When you want help here please do this:
Please post your complete game.log file from the crash to http://pastebin.com (copy/paste, split the game.log if it is too big) and post the link to it here please. This way we can find out what the problem is.

You can find your game.log in your documents in the ETS2 folder as a default install on Windows. (If it is not there check OneDrive.) On a Mac the ETS2 folder is in your Library and there in the Application Support.

If pastebin is not available in your country please use http://rentry.co and post the link to it here please. The page works like pastebin.

Update your grafics driver. You can download the current driver from the Nvidia website.

This mod is causing the crash:

Did the fact that the game has had a number of important updates recently pass you by?
Or the statement that SCS present you with, EVERY TIME you start the game? You know, the one that says you are using unauthorised modifications that can and will break the game, which SCS are not responsible for?

Take a look at the many, many threads on here all saying the same thing:
"mods broke my game"
No they didn't, YOU broke your game.

Update GFX drivers, verify game files, start a new, unmodded, vanilla profile and let us know if it still crashes. If you have to use mods, check which are written for the version you are playing and add them one at a time.
