1. Try to verify integrity of game file by following this tutorial https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
2. Create a manual backup of your main profile located in "Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/profiles". Inside there you'll see folder(s) with random numbers depending on how many profiles you had. Copy those folders to different location.
- And then completely delete the Euro Truck Simulator 2 folder inside the Documents.
- Start the game and select DX11. If it crashes, select OpenGL and try to create a new profile and save it.
- Close the game and try to start it again (after that add your main profiles to the same "profiles" folder)
3. If you can't run with DX11 only, then that most likely has something with your GPU or OS in general. But what, we can't know for sure. You already said you did a clean installation of your drivers.
Try to download this DX web installer and run it again on your system. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=35
EDIT:
Unplug your G27 from USB port, restart your PC and then try to run the game. I've seen people had that kind of issues due to bad drivers for their steering wheels.
Who deleted my post? I am not fighting. I am just saying that this update is not well optimized at all and nobody can help you except SCS. They are the only one that can fix it with a patch.
So post your game.log to http://pastebin.com post the link here and we can try to help you.
Posted everything in this discussion "the best update ever :D" Read the whole thing. I am tired of saying the same thing over and over. There is no problem with our PCs. The problem is with this update. It is rushed and not optimized. Everything was OK before it. That`s all folks.
And yet tens of thousands of players are having no issue. Not trying to invalidate your problems, however, hijacking every thread where someone else is having an issue that might be solvable with your own is not helpful.
I am not hijacking anything. He is having the same problems as me. Many people are having the same issue. It is not about mods, it is not about drivers, OS, GPUs, DX 11, 12, 13, 14. He tried all the things that I tried. This is not solvable by users. This is solvable by SCS. This update is badly optimized. This is the truth!
Report your problem to the technical problem section for ETS2. Include your game.log your game.crash and your hardware specs (and maybe a Link to the discussion "the best update ever").
The damage control squad in its full glory. My PC is not low end. My GTX 670 can run many of the modern titles. Check it here: https://www.gpucheck.com/compare/nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060-vs-nvidia-geforce-gtx-670/intel-core-i7-8700k-3-70ghz-vs-intel-core-i7-2700k-3-50ghz/high
I already reverted to 1.35 and will wait for a patch. If they don``t fix the problem they will loose me as a customer. It is as simple as that!
Yeah no wonder you have issues. DX11 isn't working. In this case I would post on the forum, a similar issue was previously fixed, but if you don't post they might not realise there are other similar problems still going on.
