Some good information: https://steamcommunity.com/app/270880/discussions/0/1745646405805226044/
Still working on it, just not in a state to release any time soon, especially considering all the hard work they're going to do this year upgrading the game engine.
Personally, I would prefer that buses were added to ETS2 so you could have a company with both trucks and tourist buses.
But noone know what happens and there haven't been any release date or any information about it in the last year what they will do and how far they plan to do it, And you will problely not see it in the next couple of years
Have you tryed "Bus Simulator 18" that is a really good Bus game, whit the best Multiplayer system i ever have seen, you can drive buses with your freinds and meet them on the road, you can even drive with your freind in his bus and the other way around.

I will have a closer look at it, i already own fernbus wich is a complete disaster.
Ye i know about Fernbus, i have that too and i have never really got it to work prober with my Logitech G27 wheel so have never been able to drive much in it.
Bus Sim 18 is no great game either, but for what it's worth, it's not the most terrible. I wouldn't say the MP in it is the best there is, considering you'll be at the mercy of their servers for MP, so whenever they stop paying those bills, there goes the MP. But for the time being though, it works well enough. Just, they take waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to fix issues.. like stuff I've reported like 2 and a half years ago and they were only just fixed in Update 12 or something.
I didn't say it was perfect, But in my Opinion it's the best Bus Simulator i have see on the market so far, that i have try im open for any Game there is better than that if it's made.
I would prefere to see a Bus Simulator game made be SCS so we can get a Bus Simulator game there works the same way as ETS2 and ATS. or even better that we got coaches in both those games we can drive and own and pick up passenger in, I know there is mods to ETS2 for that but thats not what i mean.
Bus Sim 18 I found to be slightly better but equally bad in some respects. The controls were also dreadful in this game just like Fernbus where the steering resets every time you take you thumb off the left stick so cornering smoothly was impossible I found. It also felt like a shopping trolley on ice round corners. Along with TML, they make an interesting world yet the mechanics are abysmal for a driving game in the most basic sense of how they work.
I'm definitely not trusting any YouTube shills again and only SCS seem to be the ones who can get the driving simulation right.
UE4 engine is just terrible for driving games, SCS has the best cards to make a real good Bus Sim and believe me there is big fan base waiting for that DLC to be released.
I've played close to 100 hours of OMSI 2, and while I do enjoy it from time to time, it's performance is a lot to be desired.
So, if one wants ultra realism, pick up OMSI. If you want something more arcade, Bus Simulator 18 is a decent choice.
And yes, though Unreal Engine 4 isn't the most terrible engine out there, I don't feel like it's suitable for driving games in the slightest. Unity isn't too bad, which is what runs Bus Simulator 16, but even that still has its quirks for driving.
On a final note, LOTUS Simulator is from the same dev that worked on OMSI 2, so that could be worth looking into once more development is done on it and it reaches a more beta stage. It's still in a tech alpha state really.
It would be rather a half-baked attempt if they just threw in buses into the current map as is.
