I always wanted to help people who need something.
I saw that there aren't a lot of discord servers dedicated to this game.
So i created my own discord server called: TS Trucking Community.
Its a server thats for all the people that love trucks, if its in real-life or in the virtual world.
It has things such as: Music ♥♥♥, Lovely people, great staff and ofcourse it has to do with trucks :)

In my opinion the servers that are already there aran't really friendly/helpfull.
I am trying the get this server to a certain level so that the players feel special the be a part of it

I cant deny that the odds are high that someone will adverstise their server.
But i did some research and found that just a small amount of people advertises on steam discussions.

Thats why i posted this, i know that a lot of people advertise on forums and stuff but not on steam.

but as i said to the other guy: I am trying the get this server to a certain level so that the players feel special the be a part of it.

thats my goal and for some it seems unreachable but i think that it is reachable.

There is a reason for that, and I would be careful to call your post an "advertisement".
Advertisements are against Steam's Discussions Rules and Guidelines (see the link on the right) and, if your post is reported and you have multiple violations, you are subject to a ban from the boards.

I did not report your post because I don't see it as an "advertisement" (others may disagree).

The issue I see with Yet Another Discord Server(YADS), is the same I see with Yet Another MMO Clan(YAMC). Once it gets to a certain size, the original goal is no longer relevant unless it has a very specific topic that is enforced 100% throughout its' life. I see it time and time again.

Seeing as I'm currently playing RuneScape at this second in time, I'm in a clan with 540+ people, actively growing and actively helping. Chat activity is roughly 15% of the users, but overall helpfulness from members is really only limited to maybe 2%, of which most of that 2% is long time members.

How helpful is this clan that the original goal was to be helpful to any player, new or old? When we get the occasional truthful new/old/returning player, very helpful. Otherwise, it's just a lot of noise and banter. Many of the Discords you may have seen are probably helpful in their own way, but the people that need help versus the people that don't is a really hard to measure thing. If peopel come in for help, but don't participate otherwise, then it may look like nobody gets helped unless they explicitly mention being helped before.

Good luck with this Discord, but it's getting hard to juggle several other active Dsicord groups.

Yes I know. You really should have a read through the Rules and Guidelines, lots of useful information there if you want to involve yourself in the Steam discussion boards. Most people completely ignore it and then when their posts get deleted they have no idea why. Sometimes they even post again to complain about the deletion (which of course is another violation).
