i have tried several times and simply cannot get my head around skinning for ATS and ETS and i can't be the only one that struggles with the current method of skinning.
a Forza Motorsport style paint editor would allow anyone to create their own paintjobs easily and if the created content was saved as .scs files in the mod folder it would also make it easy to share those paint jobs.

If SCS should make it, they have to use fake companies becouse, They would need license for each company they add to the game. And make it so you can make it in the game is not a option. Becouse it would need a lot of proformance of your PC.
They have made the game so you can create mods, that is the way you can do it.
