Can't switch trailer in freight market

I drive to the company, pressing cogwheel takes me into trailer selection like it should. I can see all the trailers in list but I can't press confirm. It started when I quick travelled to Rotterdam.

Country for destination city may prohibit the type of your selected trailer, i.e. not every country allowing double trailer.

You must be in the trailer's hometown to take it.
If the trailer is not located in the city where you are now, you can move it there using trailer maneger

I'm not choosing double trailer, now I'd like to pick regular single trailer from London to Newcastle. You know, there is a trailer assigned for me which is gonna be my trailer if I decide not to choose a different one. But it doesn't let me even choose a skin for it, I see them on the trailer selection but can't press "confirm 'cause it's grayed out. In every situation, no matter where I am or what kind of trailer I'm choosing I can't do it.

Yes. I just started a new profile, haven't played that much. I used Ben's easy modding to add paintjob with own logo, it might've broken it. Thanks for trying to help though.

Same boat here mate. Started a new profile, wanted to change a B Double to just Double trailer and it won't let me chose it. It's same lenghts for gods sake! (Althought simple double is more stable, hence i wanted to change.). We are not talking about OWNED trailers. We're talking about COMPANY trailers. When all you own is a truck and the trailers come with cargo. You have a cog icon there so you can chose a trailer. Sometimes it lets you chose a more stable trailer, sometimes you can even get a bigger trailer + more cargo then previously advertised and in the end, bigger pay. Sadly it doesn't work now for whatever reason.

For contracts that go through countries that don't allow doubles you can not choose them.

Also you need to have money in your bank in the game.

I have seen this reported before and wonder whether it is a mod problem. If you have the cog in the Freight Market jobs view then you should be able to change the trailer.

100% not a mod issue. I'm playing a base/vanila game. Just encountered the problem again, trying to transport vaxines from Sweeden to Lativa. As you can see on the screenshot, I'm not trying to pick an illegal trailer, just wanted to use Krone one (for better tires with lower fuel consumption) . You can't even chose other basic trailers, not from DLC's. https://i.ibb.co/sV9NvH1/Untitled-1.png

SOLUTION: "Also you need to have money in your bank in the game." this seems completely idiotic and absurd... but it worked lol! I had -1666 on my bank acc, and after i borrowed some money I was finally able to chose any trailer I want. Bizzare...

Wolfgang, don't you know, by any chance WHY do i have to have money in the bank to be able to change trailers? Or is it just a simple weird mistake by SCS that they just never fixed? I see no logic here.

Making a wild guess here (so take it with some ) but it might be that these changes either cost money or reduce the payment of the contract thus indirectly costing money.
It might be entirely possible that there is a different explaination but I'm not a dev so I have no exact information on why it is the way it is.

That thought have passed my mind, but the payment stays the same. Whatever it is, I'm glad i finally KNOW the cause of that problem.

Good detective work. Have you considered raising a bug report on the SCS forum because that is the most likely route to getting it fixed?

I'll make a list and one day I'll maybe start reporting stuff like that. But it's higsly unlikely to get fixed and I don't go on SCS forusms at all. I'm not sure I even have an acc there.
